The 2024 Cooma Show Committee are excited about our 148th Annual Cooma Show on the 9th of March 2024.
This year’s theme is Carnival Celebration, celebrating 100 years of Bell’s Amusements. The show will be opened at midday by Elwin Bell from Bell’s Amusements.
2023 The Land Sydney Royal AgShows NSW Young Woman Florance McGufficke returns to her local show where her journey began 12 months ago, since winning the title in April last year Florance has travel over 10,000km to Ag Shows across NSW.
Cooma Show Young Woman and Zone 3 The Land Sydney Royal AgShows NSW Young Woman Finalist Emily Rowson is excited to be representing Cooma Show at our local show and then attending the Sydney Royal in late March.
On show day there will be:
- Cattle, Sheep, poultry, and the main pavilion displays
- ALL4FM Motocross display
- Live music by Jay Podger
- Wacky Wombat Entertainment
- Demonstrations by the SES and RFS
- Yard dog demonstrations
- Old Kentucky Mobile Animal Farm
- Tiny Zoo
- Dog fancy dress competition
- Gumboot throwing competition
- Elders Cooma Open and Junior Farmers challenge
- Dog high jump competition
- Wood chopping events
- Woodturning demonstration
- Market and trade stalls
- Side show ally
- Fireworks
Horse events will be held on both Friday 8th and Saturday 9th March 2024.
Friday night will see the traditional opening of the pavilion, a sausage sizzle and side show alley from 6pm to 8pm.
