Sunny days are ahead, indeed!

Recent stories

And this is not simply some tall tale. It is, in fact, actually a tall flower.

The Red Gate Community Garden in Donald is attempting to outshine the summer skies with a sun of their own, this year.

This one is much friendlier on the eyes, though.

As seen from Leonie Harvey, Jenni Campbell and Joyce Hollis posing with said sunflower, if it grows any taller, it might very well replace the sun! Well and truly visible from over the fence, this gives passers-by a glimpse – even from afar – of the quality of Red Gate’s garden, as well as the dedication of its gardeners.

The Red Gate Community Garden, located just off Donald’s main street behind the Bendigo Bank, meets weekly on Tuesdays at 9 a.m. to tend the garden and harvest crops.

Anyone is welcome to come and look at the garden and enjoy the tranquil setting – and with the sunflowers practically reaching out to welcome people in, who wouldn’t want to visit and marvel at the garden wonders? Simply open the Red Gate and go on in!
