Primary school science room ‘one of the best’

Recent stories

The Denmark Primary School’s science room has been renovated to become one of the best in WA.

The State Government-funded upgrade reflects a commitment to enhancing science education in public schools in the previously big and well-equipped science room.

Apart from structural upgrades, the grant has also enabled the school to introduce an array of top equipment.

Additions include microscopes, immersive virtual reality technology, Lego robotics sets, and intricate chemistry models that will extend the science learning experience for students.

The school’s new science teacher, Jordan Bader, is experienced with a background in environmental sciences.

He promises imparting knowledge about the local ecosystems, especially with the ample remnant bushland on school land.

Beyond ecology, Jordan’s curriculum will encompass other scientific disciplines, including physics, chemistry, and geology.

He said the renovation put the school at the forefront of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education.

Jordan says his goal is that within a decade he can lift the school into a regional hub for scientific learning.
