Wiradjuri woman, artist and creator of Marara Designs Shelby-Rae Kschenka of Narrandera has entered a brand collaboration with the iconic Australian clothing company Sportsgirl.

Shelby-Rae will work with the company to create a ‘meaningful, intentional and sustainable’ Acknowledgement of Country that will be present in all 130-plus Sportsgirl stores via physical in-store plaques and online.

Yiradhu Marang (good day), here is a little about me and the face behind Marara Designs.

Twenty-five year old Shelby-Rae was born in Narrandera and grew up in Griffith with her parents and brother. She is a mother to three boys aged six years, four years and six months .

She Marara Designs to educate and help her children learn about their culture by starting to create small things here and there for them as well as for home decor for herself.

“I have a great love for interior design and art runs in my family so I’ve always had the best role models and influences around me my whole life,” she said.

Her love for graphic design and art in general played a huge part in her life so being able to mix my culture and designs together she didn’t hesitate in growing her business.
