A whopper 7kg carp caught at annual muster

The annual Casino RSM Social Fishing Club Carp Muster has been running since 2009.

There were about 100 people fishing this weekend, September 16–17 and plenty of carp was caught.

Casino RSM Social Fishing Club secretary Kristy Martin said her children enjoy the muster and its good for the rivers to remove the carp.

“My kids say its easy fishing for them and they put on a good fight when you hook them,” Ms Martin said.

Seniors Heaviest Carp

  • 1st – Andrew Shutter with a massive 7kg carp
  • 2nd – Wayne Green with a 5.49kg carp
  • 3rd – Jacob Benn with a 4.075kg carp

Juniors Heaviest Carp

  • 1st – Bella Clay with a whopper 5.155kg
  • 2nd – Faith Jackson with a 4.075kg carp
  • 3rd – Dallas Murphy with a 3.565kg carp

Most Caught Seniors

  • 1st – Michael Bock 39 carp
  • 2nd – Brett Jackson 28 carp
  • 3rd – Ron Jackson 28 carp

Most Caught Juniors

  • 1st – Jayden Hughes-Flick 27 carp
  • 2nd – Riley White 27 carp
  • 3rd – Theo Leece 16 carp

Bow

  • Brett Flick with a 6.26kg carp

Juniors Heaviest Carp

  • Patrick Murphy with a 1.07kg carp

The fishing club would love more members. They host outings once a month followed by a weigh in.
