National champion Bailey Harm

Allora swimmer Bailey Harm has returned from the School Sport Australia National Championships in Sydney with a 2023 SSA National Champion title in the 50m Freestyle sprint.

Bailey competed in seven events at the Championships, bringing home six national medals.

Bailey’s achievements in Sydney include:

  • Gold and National Champion 15 years 50m Freestyle in a time of 24.07.
  • Silver in the 15 years 50m Breaststroke in 30.53s, 0.02s from the gold.
  • 5th in 15 years 50m Backstroke in 28.28s.
  • Gold, National Champions and an Australian Record anchoring the 15/16 years Medley Relay with a freestyle leg of 23.35s.
  • Gold 15/16 years 4 x 50m Freestyle Relay, swimming the final leg starting in third place at the changeover and racing home in a 23.27 to take the gold from NSW in second.
  • Silver 10 x 50 Mixed Freestyle, Qld finishing behind NSW, Bailey the lead off swimmer.
  • Bronze 13-19 years 4 x 100m Freestyle, swimming the fastest leg for the Qld team in a time of 52.66 seconds.

Bailey has also been selected in the Swimming Queensland Tilly Cup Team and will go into camp with the selected swimmers on the Gold Coast during the September school holidays.

This competition will see some of the best Qld swimmers training and competing together in a teams-based event.
