The Barkly Regional Council’s Youthlinx School Holiday Program has been extremely busy with a range of activities including basketball and volleyball whilst partnering with Build It Up Skateboarding and Dream Impact to deliver a boxing program.
The skateboarding program was a huge success, with Barkly youth learning how to skate through a range of different activities, as well as learning how to ‘drop in’ from a ramp.
Thee boxing program has gained a lot of interest from local youth, learning the different techniques and also getting in the ring! All of the Youthlinx sessions comes with healthy food, cooked by the team.
The Deadly Hair Dude has been giving the kids cool haircuts, and in return, the Youthlinx team cooked up a BBQ for him.
Over the next two weeks the Youthlinx team will be delivering a range of activities such as table tennis, volleyball, basketball, chip it golf, soccer as well as arts and crafts.
