Kangaroo Art at Maldon Primary

Recent stories

Maldon Primary School students have decorated kangaroos for the Kangaroo Art Installation. This art installation is part of the Maldon Winter Festival.

Students decorated three kangaroos using a variety of mediums. Students in all grades contributed to the kangaroo artwork. Grade 4/5/6 students worked on the larger kangaroo.

They used a variety of materials such as wood and cloth to make three-dimensional native flora to stick to the bottom of the kangaroo.

They used earthy colours to decorate the head of the kangaroo. The 2/3 class worked on a smaller kangaroo using coloured wool to create line art and patterns. The second small kangaroo was decorated by the Prep 1 class.

These students used paint pens to create an interesting, coloured shape.

Our senior students are lucky enough to be voting for the best Kangaroo art on Thursday this week.

Students will visit the shops where kangaroos are displayed and decide which artworks are the winning entries.
