Three-time Richmond premiership player, Bachar Houli, remains in a stable condition after suffering serious injuries in an accident on a Bringenbrong property at around 9am on Sunday morning including a broken pelvis, fractured shoulder and a punctured lung.
It is understood that Houli (35) was with two others who were shooting on the property when the Jeep he was allegedly driving slipped down a steep incline before overturning and rolling several times before coming to rest.
Houli was taken to Albury hospital before being transported to a Melbourne hospital for further treatment.
Richmond FC CEO, Brendan Gale, said the club great underwent surgery on Tuesday.
Houli’s brother-in-law, Khaled, was a passenger in the accident and is reportedly in a more serious condition after suffering serious facial injuries and fractures in the rollover.
He was airlifted from Khancoban to a Canberra hospital.
A 42-year-old passenger in the vehicle escaped injury.
