The outstanding educators and staff at Toowoomba Catholic Schools have been celebrated at their annual Excellence Awards.
The awards identify and showcase practitioners who model, demonstrate and live excellence in their roles, all day, every day.
Dr Pat Coughlan, Executive Director, Catholic Schools said “We are privileged to have an outstanding staff who believe in and are committed to inspiring young people to learn and reach their full potential.”
Mary Donnelly a Year 5-6 teacher from St Patrick’s School in Allora was an Award finalist.
The ‘Mary Donnelly experience’ is explained by parents as one in which their child is not only educated but thoroughly engaged by her wit and intelligence.
It is this experience of Mary that has had a positive and lasting impact on the community of Allora.
Mary’s leadership of pedagogy and pastoral care, professional development of staff, expert differentiation of curriculum, authentic relationships and willingness to go the extra mile are the hallmarks of her career.
