Cambooya para athletes Kyrna and Tomas Crump have come home from the Queensland school athletics championships in Brisbane with bags full of medals.
Kyrna had a clean-sweep of the events in which she competed, winning five golds across the 400m, 800m, 1500m, long jump and javelin events.
Tomas secured four golds in the 400m, 800m, 1500m, long jump events and a bronze in the 200m.
Their success follows a trip to South Australia for the national championships, where they both won medals and competed in individual and team events.
Their trip to South Australia was supported by donations from the community through a raffle hosted at the Cambooya Post Office.
Without putting too much pressure on the pair, the next Paralympics, in Paris, are less than two years away.
Let’s see how far their talent and hard work can take them.
