The township of Wentworth is situated in the best location for the best Country Show. It’s not too far from other states to travel and be part of a great weekend.
The Wentworth Show continues on with the strength and support from its Committee of Management, the Stewards and many volunteers dedicated to make the Wentworth Show an event to be remembered.
The Show schedules are now available online at www.wentworthshow.org.au and the printed version is available for purchase from Wentworth Post Office, Wentworth Visitor Information Centre, Wentworth Ruby’s Cargo Arts & Crafts and McKenzies Garage, Curlwaa.
Be in the draw for the Major Raffle to win a stainless steel Dishlex Dishwasher kindly donated by Harvey Norman Electrical Mildura. Tickets for sale at some local Wentworth businesses and each day of the Show. Raffle drawn after the Dog Jump Competition on the Sunday afternoon.
The weekend will be packed with all the family favourite attractions including the animal nursery, a visit is a must for the children. Help with feeding the animals is always appreciated. A limit of 10-day old chickens on show days available to purchase. Many thanks to T&C Insurance and our major sponsor Nutrien Ag Solutions for their contributions towards the running of the animal nursery.
Some fruits and vegetables can grow into all sorts of shapes and the Wentworth Show is the place they can shine in the Fun With Fruit and Vegetable Characters competition, held in the new Wentworth Showgrounds Community Pavilion. Use your imagination to create a fun character using any fruits and vegetables; cut them into shapes, join them together or make eyes to make them come alive.
Start practising for the John Conrick Whip Cracking Competition which will be held on the Saturday, to be judged on skill and accuracy. Entry fee is 50c, 18 years and under, entry is free. All Competitors must wear protective eyewear provided by the Show Society. So, get those whips cracking in time for the Wentworth Show.
With all the amazing space in the new Pavilion be part of the very popular Photography & Fine Arts competition or knit, crochet or sew an article for the Needlework section. Entries for the Junior Sub-Sections Needlework strictly close Midday, Friday 19 August, 2022. Other entries for Preserves & Produce, Cookery, Needlework, Photography & Fine Arts, Vegetables, Fruit, Fun with Fruit and Cut Flowers & Floral Art close Midday, Monday 22 August, 2022. Entries by any method cannot be received after these dates.
