So what has this to do with Allora? The answer – El Caballo is the name of a brand new shop opened by Karren and Jeff Hoare in Herbert Street.
Karren comes from a Rodeo family and always wanted to have her own Western Clothing store.
Jeff’s background is in mining so he does the heavy lifting as well as learning new skills.
El Caballo is definitely a family affair with Karren’s Mum, Lesley Kelly, designing and making high quality shirts under the brand – Plum Creek Country.
Karren, who’s a teacher at the Allora P-10 School, etches glasses and the sister-in-law makes horse halters.
It’s a unique shop in Allora – offering everything Western and then some.
