Catholic schools across Queensland celebrated their community spirit during Education Week – the theme being Communities of Faith, Hope and Love.
The official launch was held at St Patrick’s Cathedral in Toowooomba last Tuesday, July 26 and hosted by Diocese of Toowoomba Catholic Schools Office at St Patrick’s Cathedral.
Allora’s St Patrick’s School was represented by the Principal Keith Blaikie and students Douglas E., Mili W. and Maggie P.
Dr Pat Coughlan, Executive Director Catholic Schools said Toowoomba Catholic schools represented a microcosm of Catholic education in Queensland.
“Some of our schools serve primarily Indigenous communities, others serve agricultural and rural communities and we also have schools serving those students who have disengaged from mainstream education,” said Dr Coughlan.
“It was wonderful to showcase the rich tapestry of Toowoomba Catholic schools during the launch event and sharing the wonderful work of our communities of faith, hope and love.”
