Mount Beauty and District Community Bank Dederang Races held on Saturday 27 February were a huge success with a crowd of over 2000 packed in on a beautiful 25°C day in the valley.

It was the strongest card of racing for many years with full fields (10) making close calls the order of the day with four photo finishes.

The Milestones Dederang Cup was hotly contested with the Don Dayer-trained Foxtrot Mo sticking his head in front in the last stride to finish in front of Wise Dragon trained by Mitch Beer.

The other feature of the day was the Cheeky Bits Fashions on the Field with strong entries in all categories.

The race day raised over $10,000 for various community organisations and another $15,000 was made by local sporting groups on the day.

We are already looking at making it bigger and better on 25 February 2023.
