Armidale & New England Show Society
The 2022 Armidale & New England Show will be held on the 4th and 5th March, at the Armidale Showgrounds, and will see the event return to a much more normal Show than in 2021.
Despite lingering COVID restrictions, the Armidale Show Committee has worked hard to develop a full schedule for the public to enter and compete in, and a jam-packed entertainment program over two nights.
Friday will see the ever popular Young Farmers’ Challenge, Eljay’s Freestyle Express Show, Fireworks and then live music at the bar until gates close at 11pm. Saturday will see the Grand Opening of the 2022 Show at 6pm, with the announcement of the 2022 Armidale & New England Young Woman (formerly the Showgirl), and several other awards as well as the official announcement regarding the new logo for the Society, followed by the Dachshund Dash, the inaugural Dirigible Grand Prix, 6-Bar, Eljay’s Show, Ute barrel races, fireworks and the Demolition Derby.
2022 will see:
- a full, publicly accessible Pavilion,
- the first New England Feature Jar competition,
- 2-day Hack program,
- 3-day Showjumping program,
- Speckle Park Feature Show in the Stud Beef Cattle
- Commercial Sheep section,
- Poultry and Caged Birds,
- Virtual Pet Show,
- Ute Show,
- Live music at the Bar on Friday and Saturday nights,
- Sideshow Alley, and lots, lots more.
