Uraidla and Summertown Show exceeds community expectations

Sunday’s Uraidla and Summertown H&F Show has been described as a “spectacular success” by locals and visitors alike.

Despite new and challenging demands put upon the organisers in order to satisfy COVID regulations, the general consensus of the Show’s visitors was that 2021’s event was a brilliant day.

Show President, James Sadler, was over the moon to see not only the sea of smiling faces but the huge support the Show had from so many volunteers who all helped to make it happen.

“The Committee and I had a few headaches throughout the day but by and large they were good headaches to have.

“I lost count of the number of people, all of whom have a great understanding of our Show in particular and agricultural shows in general, who kept coming up to me offering their congratulations and praise. One person even claimed it was the best show ever.

“It goes without saying that the success of the day was down to the priceless contributions made by the committee and all the volunteers of their time, resources and skills.”
