Groundbreaking festival Illuminate has come to South Australia for the first time and Tumby Bay is excited to be one of just a few regional centres picked to host installations after the Adelaide events.

See the Illuminate installations in Tumby Bay from Friday August 13 until Saturday August 21, best seen in the evenings 6pm til 9pm.

Saturday 14 August

Enjoy hospitality, music and atmosphere at The Hub by Colour Tumby Street Art, to the rear of the Tumby Bay Hotel, between 5 and 9pm.

Saturday 21 August

The Hub will run again between 5 and 9 pm.

The Square, at the corner of West Terrace and Mortlock Street, will have a bouncy castle, glow in the dark face painting, food from Krafted Food Co. and Hooked on the Peninsula, a bar with the Colts Cricket Club and popcorn and fairy floss with Tumby YAC.

Food from 1pm, kid’s activities from 4pm.

Big Picture Series x Colour Tumby

Located in the Eyre Peninsula’s township of Tumby Bay, Big Picture Series x Colour Tumby will feature a street art walking tour reimagined for the digital age.

It will feature three renowned South Australian artists Dave Court, Tom Borgas and Zoe Kirkwood presenting Augmented Reality Sculptures, and a presentation of a large-scale digital mural and Curator of Big Picture Series, Vans the Omega, presenting his new installation Light Beyond the Window Breaks.

Illuminate Adelaide is also pleased to be collaborating with mural festival, Colour Tumby, to illuminate several existing murals that will be painted throughout this incredible street art event, encouraging audiences to return and witness these murals in a new light throughout the town.
