Norco Primex director Bruce Wright is ready for the event to roll next month.

With all necessary covid measures in place, he is confident this will be the best Primex yet.

Primex has been a part of the agricultural field days calendar since 1985.

It is held at the Richmond Valley event centre in the Casino Industrial Estate and so there is plenty of room for the 350 exhibitors and for social distancing.

“Half of our exhibitors are local businesses,” Bruce said.

Online ticketing and early bookings will minimise face to face contact before the event.

Tickets are refundable if for any reason the event must be cancelled.

Cancellation is unlikely because Primex is working closely with NSW Public Health to ensure a safe event.

TV commentator Miranda Saunders will be part of the Paddock to Plate pavilion where local food will be showcased with live entertainment every day.

“All the things people like about Primex,” Bruce said.

This year Norco Primex has teamed up with Southern Cross University’s Next Gen program and with Meat & Livestock Australia to provide opportunities for agriculture careers for youth.

There is an influx of new exhibitors, including more outdoor recreation stalls, 4WDs, a distillery and dog trial demos.

Norco Primex calls itself “Australia’s sustainable farm and primary industries exhibition” and says it offers a complete paddock to plate experience where farmers & foodies meet.
