A celebration took place over the weekend as the enthusiastic gardener enjoyed viewing a beautiful exhibit of orchids from around the world in Kerang for the 22nd Victorian Country Orchid Clubs Challenge. Ten displays with an average of 50 plants made their way to the Kerang Basketball Stadium, supported by the sharing of gardening knowledge and commercial stalls.  

The show must go on!

The Barkly community was up in arms earlier this week when news hit the Tennant Creek Show was cancelled just 25 days ahead of its arrival into town. Due to failing infrastructure at the Showgrounds and a volunteer burnout, it was looking bleak for the one-day ahead to go about.

Bumper year at the Bellingen Show

Bellingen Show made a triumphant return this year with a bumper event that attracted large crowds and a jam-packed program that offered something for everyone.

We are on track for a magnificent Show, action packed full of entertainment and activities for all ages. We are the biggest Show on the Tablelands and will have some of the best entertainment happening daily from Dinosaur Adventure park, Airtime FMX death defying stunts to Road Crash Rescue Demonstrations by the local SES and QFRS members.

This year's show will feature a Dinosaur Park, Duck and miniature pig races, petting farm, camel rides, Rocky River Mining and the Radical Reptile show. At night there will be a spectacular show in the main ring, ending with the fireworks.

Scenic Rim Clydesdale Spectacular

Now in its 11th year, the Scenic Rim Clydesdale Spectacular happens over the weekend of June 17 and 18 at Boonah. It is the richest Clydesdale Show in the Southern Hemisphere, where the grand champions of the breed are judged, the heritage of the breed is shared, and the history of the breed in Australia is toasted.

66th Dayboro Show, 8-9 July 2023

Dayboro – The Town of Yesteryear is set to come alive when town meets country at the best little country show.   The annual Dayboro Show is celebrating 66 years with the 2023 event being held on July 8th and 9th. The show will bring together almost every aspect of rural living from cattle displays, sheep herding and poultry exhibits; to displays of the regions’ historic machinery and a 2-day filled wood-chopping program.

150th Rockhampton Show, 14-16 June 2023

Rockhampton Agricultural Show Program set to WOW crowds with stellar family entertainment line-up. The Rockhampton Agricultural Show is bringing some big names to the program for their 150th  Anniversary event on 14-16 June. Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams said this is the biggest entertainment program the Show has delivered in recent years and rightly so for our 150th  celebration.

We have a Blue Light Disco at the Town Hall Friday night for the children along with a Open Mic Night and BBQ and bar at the Show ground to kick start a great weekend. The show society subsides all rides to the cost of $5.00 per ride to make the show affordable for families.

Gidgegannup Small Farm Field Day, 28 May 2023

Sunday, 28th May, 2023 – Gates open at 9.00am. $15 per adult, 16 and under free. No dogs permitted. Free Parking. This year the Honey Festival is with us again. Much more space this time so expect this to be something special. There will be talks, demonstrations, competitions and special activities for children.

We are also hosting a wine and cheese night to welcome Miss Showgirl and the Rural Ambassadors on the 19th May (the day before the Show).

The David Hack classic returns

The Classic is being held at the Toowoomba Aerodrome on Sunday 21 May ... The day attracts some 400 vehicles and 30 to 40 aircrafts with some 4,000 people attending. The mix of classic vehicles and warbirds make for a unique atmosphere and this year the Jensen Car Club will hold its Club National Rally.
