Recent stories

Three Narrandera High School students and their teacher Jim Shady, made their way to Bendigo to represent the school at this year’s Angora Judging at the Bendigo Sheep and Wool Show.

After preparing the fleeces and animals for judging the events started with the fleece classes. Of the 20 entries many placings were awarded with the champion ribbon being awarded to one of the NHS wether’s fleeces.

Moving on to the animals the trend was repeated with Reserve Champion Doe being awarded to one of the school’s young does.

NHS was also awarded first place in a pair of does and second place in a team of three animals.

Junior Judging was taken out by Isabel Bisby with Alexa Appleby awarded Reserve Champion.

In the Junior Paraders Alexa took out champion with Isabel second and Luc highly commended.

Mr Shady said this was an exceptional effort from those who made the effort to attend and it was supported by all the great work at school in the preparation for this event.
