A series of short films titled Adaptation Stories will be screened at Kyogle Cinema on Sunday, June 29 at Kyogle Cinemas.
Entry is free but registration is essential.
The films highlight how people are adapting to climate change and includes farmers, First Nations leaders and young changemakers.
One of the films features Greg Daley from Daleys Fruit Tree Nursery and another is about Joe Leven from Casino Food Co-op.
“When we approach farmers as part of the landscape, we discover an ecologist within,” Joe said.
“The farmer is an essential ingredient to the solution, and together we can do great things.”
Greg said that we are faced with a changing climate, so we are going to have to adapt to this new world.
“This means working as a community to tackle the problems we face,” Greg said.
There will be a Q&A with the creative team – Zerina Millard, from Living Lab Northern Rivers, Paul Daley from A Lush Forest Media and director and producer Poppy Walker – after the screening.
