Forecasters predict November rains

Recent stories

Weather forecasters are predicting widespread rainfall for November, across NSW and Queensland.

Falls of between 20 and 60 mm are being touted for the Back Country.

The Bureau of Meteorology says rainfall is likely to be above average across much of eastern Australia and parts of the interior until January.

They say rainfall is likely (60 to 80 per cent chance) to be above average for much of eastern Australia, parts of eastern WA and western SA, and regions in far northern and southern NT.

For south-western WA, eastern SA, western NSW and Queensland, and much of Victoria and central NT, rainfall is likely to be within the typical range for the season.

Karl Lijnders, who operates the online weather service “Weather Matters” predicts lower falls of between 20-30mm but says the falls will occur in the next two weeks.
