In the Uniting Church under-fourteens’ second semi-final match it was the young Tigers who got the grand final spot with a win over the Boort Magpies.
The under-14s played a very good game and kicking with the wind in the first quarter, the Tigers took a handy lead, which was cut to 6 points at half-time.
It was a team effort led by the hardworking onball brigade of Henry, Hugo, Coby and Cooper. Zander and Oscar were in everything across half forward and key defenders Ryder, Riley, Harry and Ben halted many Magpie attacks.
The Tigers led at every change and dominated the second half to run out winners by just over twenty points to beat a talented Boort team, which always remained within striking distance. Final score: Sea Lake-Nandaly 6.7 (43) d. Boort 3.4 (22).
