Country Arts SA, Naracoorte Community News
Presented by Country Arts SA and our Community Presenter volunteers, The Stringybark Quartet is back on the road touring regional South Australia.
From Mozart to Katy Perry, Icelandic hymns to Aussie rock anthems, it’s a musical adventure like you’ve never heard before. The string quartet will perform intimate shows in Kangaroo Island, Robe and Lameroo. Each show will be unique to the venue with the repertoire – spanning multiple genres from classical, folk, pop and new music – curated by the local community presenter group.
Violinist and composer Belinda Gehlert, will be joined on stage by fellow renowned Australian string players – violinist Emma Perkins, violist Linda Garret and cellist Gemma Phillips. Belinda said the group was eagerly anticipating the rest of their tour.
“We are really looking forward to hitting the road again with the Stringybark Quartet to bring our music to the beautiful landscapes of South Australia. We can’t wait to see the stunning shores of Kangaroo Island and the charming town of Robe (which is a childhood favourite of mine) and to meet the vibrant community of Lameroo. We can’t wait to share our pop, folk, and classical tunes with you all. See you soon!“
Audiences have been falling in love – no strings attached – with the quartet.
