Cambooya Hall will play host to the Festival of Small Halls on Wednesday, 24 July.

ECMA award winning Quote the Raven, formed by Jordan Coaker and Kirsten Rodden-Clarke, is currently working on a third studio album, building on the success of their acclaimed albums “Can’t Hold the Light” and “Golden Hour”.

As a three-time Music NL group of the year, Quote the Raven seamlessly merge Americana-Folk Music with East Coast storytelling, sharing tales of a small-town touring band experiencing the world.

Growing up in a small mining town could have been musically limiting, but lucky for Hailey Calvert her parents were fans of artists like Eric Clapton, Archie Roach and The Police.

Time spent passively listening to such legends sparked an interest in storytelling and the power of music.

Later discovering her own love for Joni Mitchell, Amy Winehouse and Sam Cooke developed Hailey’s unique sound described as ‘honest, thoughtful song writing with vintage soul vocals’.

Festival of Small Halls is a series of tours that takes the best folk and contemporary acoustic artists performing at two of the nation’s largest festivals, and sends them on the road to tiny halls in communities all over Australia.

The Festival of Small Halls visited Pilton last year and last visited Cambooya Hall in 2021.

Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
