Welcome!

We are delighted to bring you our 2024 show, with a bigger than “Ben Hur” lineup of fun and entertainment, trade fair, competitions, fashion, food, all things agriculture…and an awesome 2 days of action-packed regional community spirit!

This year, we celebrate “Let’s Get Together” – highlighting the significance of getting together in all we do – catching up, working together, collaborating, having a chat. We look to raise awareness of the importance of having time to pause, looking after your mental health and making time to connect.

About us

For 51 years, the Wagin Woolorama has been WA’s largest regional family friendly show, located 2.5 hours south-east of Perth. The Woolorama attracts more that 20,000 visitors each year over the two-day event, which offers a variety of attractions, competitions, and commercial exhibitors.

With something for everyone, patrons mingle with exhibitors and enjoy art and photography, craftwork, needlework, agriculture, animal husbandry, poultry, equestrian, woodwork, metal work, food and beverage, patchwork, fashion, textile, jewelry, design, home and building, education and more.

Wagin Woolorama was first held in 1972, inspired by a trip to the Dowerin Field Days.

The visit prompted local Malcom Edward from the Wagin Agricultural Society to explore what a feature event for Wagin might look like.

With the strength of Wagin in its Merino and Wool industry, a competition was held to find a name for the Wagin event – and two boys came up with the name “Woolorama”. Winning $5.00 each for their efforts the then Wagin Agricultural Show became Wagin Woolorama.

The Wagin Agricultural Society Inc is a not-for-profit organisation who exist to build strength and capacity into the people and township of Wagin.

Wagin Woolorama showcases rural Australia and a snapshot of what it has to offer. The event is a celebration of those who have contributed and continue to contribute to our rich rural history and lifestyle.

As the annual Show draws crowds each year, the true essence lies in the unfolding backdrop.

While attendees view livestock and farm animals, experience fine needlework and amazing preserves in craft and cooking competitions, express enthusiastic cheers at the woodchop, applaud at the fashion parade, and delight at the various entertainment throughout the day, the event brings together city and county friends, forming an experience to support, uplift, and assist each other amidst the joy of the show.

Beyond the event, the occasion becomes a platform for fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.
