And the winner is…

Recent stories

Allora locals had the opportunity to vote for their favourite mural to be painted on the wall of the IGA building. There was a good response of 567 votes with 375 going to the red-winged parrot design.

Features of the mural include the parrot, a sunflower field and a tractor that pays homage to agriculture and the Allora Heritage Weekend.

To represent the town’s history is the Homes & Co. building, which used to sit where the IGA is now, and in the top right hand corner the Saucepan star constellation.

Once painted, the larger images will be visually clear and the colour palette has been designed with longevity in mind. At this stage the artists Jordan and Steve are hoping to start in February depending on weather conditions.
