Councillor and lawyer proud to be regional voice on Local Land Services board

Recent stories

Appointments to the boards of regional Local Land Services are made by the Minister for Agriculture Tara Moriarty.

There are 11 LLS regional boards and 24 appointments were recently made – two of those are for the North Coast board.

Kyogle’s Danielle Mulholland is one of them and the other is Jolyon Burnett (chair).

There were 157 applications received for the board appointments.

Ms Mulholland is a councillor for Kyogle Council and a practising lawyer.

She is honoured to be selected.

“I am a bit chuffed,” Ms Mullholland said.

”I wanted to make a difference. This is an opportunity to have a voice at the Local Land Services table.”

As an LLS board members, she will work closely with landholders and local communities to shape the services offered by LLS such as providing best practice advice on pest animal management, agricultural production and natural resource management.

Ms Mulholland’s board position lasts for four years.

“The minister saw the work I’d done previously and appointed me to the board,” she said.

This includes being on the AgForce board in Queensland in 2000—2004.

Ms Mulholland is looking forward to being an advocate for the region.
