Hike to Heal Scavenger Hike

Recent stories

Do you love hiking and nature or care about mental health and suicide prevention?

If so, you are invited to join the Hike to Heal Scavenger Hike, a week-long event hosted by Hike to Heal Australia, a local not-for-profit suicide prevention charity.

The Hike to Heal Scavenger Hike is not just a walk, it is an adventure that challenges you physically, mentally, and emotionally.

You will explore the beauty of nature, discover hidden treasures, test your skills and knowledge, and meet and bond with other people who share your passion and compassion.

The event will take place at the Mt Peel Bushland, a stunning natural reserve with scenic trails and diverse wildlife.

The event starts on Saturday, February 17th, with an inspiring opening ceremony, where you will remember and honour those who have lost their lives or are struggling with depression and mental illness.

Then, you will set off on a scavenger hike, where you will follow clues, solve puzzles, and complete tasks along the way.

You can share your photos with the rest of the Hike to Heal Australia community, showing the impact you have made in the quest to raise awareness of depression and mental illness.

The Hike to Heal Scavenger Hike is an event that brings people together in a friendly and safe environment, where issues of mental health can be discussed openly with friends, family, and supportive strangers.

Jim and Linda Barton, the founding family of Hike to Heal Australia, believe the matters surrounding suicide should be discussed, not hidden.

You can choose to join the event in person or virtually at a location of your choice, or you can register for the H2H Team Challenge, which will be held on Friday, February 23rd, at 2.30pm.

The H2H Team Challenge is a one-hour competitive scavenger hike for teams of up to four people, which offers the thrill of the chase while working against the clock.

It inspires teams to communicate and collaborate in real-time and is an ideal fun and inspiring team-building event, where staff can let their personalities shine and give back to the community.

The Hike to Heal Scavenger Hike is open to anyone who wants to support the cause of suicide prevention and mental awareness, or who has been affected by ill mental health or suicide loss.

Proceeds from this year’s hike will support Momentum Mental Health and their contemporary mental health and wellbeing programs.

To register for the event, visit www.hiketoheal.org.au or call 0406 436 616.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it the most.
