Local Judy Streeter has waited 12 years for her Gymea Lily to bloom. When Judy purchased the lily, she was told it would never grow in Maldon.
She waited and kept waiting until around nine months ago when a large stalk appeared from the middle of the lily. She then waited another three months until the flower opened. It just shows patience can pay off. Well done, Judy!
