It’s Mallee Bull calendar time

Recent stories

Once again “Big Red”, Birchip’s famous Mallee Bull, adorns the cover of the annual calendar, prepared for his yearly trip to places and countries around the world, while showing off the many aspects of life in Birchip and district.

The calendar showcases the people, places and occupations which together make the area the best place to grow and raise families and memories to capture for those who once lived here.

There has been another wonderful response from photographers, with several new faces among them, all with beautiful photos. This year’s calendar features some of our unique big skies both day and night, weather features, views from drones, lakes, crops and many other features.

The talented ladies from Mallee Branded have produced a beautiful calendar, with particular thanks to Kristy Dean, which will make a lovely Christmas gift, a present from employer to employees, a gift for that person who is hard to buy for, and a very suitable welcome to town or farewell gift.

The price remains at $20 with postage available within Australia including a secure bag for $13. Express post costs more, while overseas mail can also be arranged. Calendars need to be posted by December 5 for overseas, and December 18 within Australia, at the latest, for Christmas arrival. Contact Maureen Donnellon via Messenger for postal arrangements and payment.

It is very pleasing to see new sponsors, Birchip Auto Electrical, Jamilca, Sare, Ella & Rose Candles, Mallee Spraying Services, and John’s Mowing. All credit is due to the negotiating efforts of Sharee Dobson, who has ensured that the back calendar page has all meeting dates and times, school year dates, with sporting highlights and notable dates and holidays throughout the months.

Calendars are now available at Mallee Branded, Birchip Newsagency, Birchip Café, Bourke’s Butchers, Mallee Shearing Shed, and Sharee Dobson. Don’t miss out on yours this year.
