Tennant Creek Primary School was recently visited by Lucas Hayden, the Inclusive Practice Coordinator from the School of Sport Education.

Students participated in a variety of activities and games that involved using some senses more than others, such as hearing more than sight.

One of the activities involved one student being blindfolded while moving a ball with bells in it through a course, which required other students to work in a team to guide that student by giving them verbal instructions.

The students commented how they found it hard to hear the ball with all the background noise and realised how hard it must be at times for people with loss of sight.

NT Golf and NT Hockey also supported the visit with hockey and golf activities, which the students enjoyed.
