A Fun Filled Day For The Whole Family: the 169th Toodyay Agricultural Show.
The countdown has begun for the highly anticipated 169th Toodyay Agricultural Show, set to delight attendees with a day brimming with excitement and family-friendly entertainment.
As the event draws near, the organising committee is thrilled to announce that this year’s Show promises to be a true highlight on the calendar. Scheduled for Saturday 7 October, the Toodyay Agricultural Show will open its gates at 9am, inviting visitors of all ages to indulge in an accessible and inclusive abundance of activities and attractions.
Live music throughout the day will add to the atmosphere, plus free face painting and glitter tattoos mean that younger visitors will stand out from the crowd. The multitude of market stalls, sideshow attractions and trade displays ensure there’s something for everyone in attendance.
Of course, the heart of the Show lies within the exhibition pavilions, where local creativity and agricultural ability take centre stage. This diverse showcase ranges indoors from intricate needlework, weaving, quilting and art, to vibrant displays of fruit, vegetables, apiculture, floriculture, home produce and much more. Outside, around the grounds livestock, including sheep, cattle, alpacas, and poultry, highlight the rich agricultural heritage of the region.
For the more leisurely-minded, the family-friendly Terrace Bar will open its doors from midday, providing a relaxing spot to enjoy refreshments. With a tempting array of food vans on-site, attendees can rest assured their dining needs will be well taken care of. Staying for dinner has become a popular idea, as it guarantees a prime position for the Bendigo fireworks display that will illuminate the night sky in a dazzling spectacle.
Admission to the Toodyay Agricultural Show is $15 for adults; concession and children’s tickets are available for only $5, while children under 6 years old join in free.
