Teams from 21 countries and 59 pilots will compete in the FAI F3A World Champions at the Warwick Aerodrome.
The best in the world, with some right here in Queensland, will show their skills in this precision aerobatic sport performing a set of manoeuvres in front of the judges and the spectators.
All the action kicks off this Friday 19 August. Then the following Friday August 25 the semi-finals will be held with the finals on Saturday August 26. Gates will open from 8.15 each day.
Families are encouraged to take along a picnic lunch and enjoy the spectacle.
Shade and seating will be on site and entry is free to the public.
Mayor of the Southern Downs Regional Council, Vic Pennisi, said the competition would be a highlight on the 2023 calendar. The event itself is predicted to inject more than half a million dollars into the local Warwick economy.
“As a destination for adrenaline-charged events, Warwick is the Horsepower Capital of Queensland and we are honoured to host the FAI F3A World Championships,” Mayor Pennisi said.
