Thoughts are turning to the return of Spring in Wingecarribee with Tulip Time Tickets now on sale. Entry to the daytime event is free for residents who need only book tickets to see Tulips After Dark.

Now is the time for our local community organisations and not-for-profit groups planning to have a presence at the spectacle to apply for a stall. Attracting visitors from far and wide to the Southern Highlands each Spring, Tulip Time is an important fundraising opportunity for communities across our Shire and brings with it a boost for our local economy.

Plan ahead for enjoyable Tulip Time

For the convenience of local residents we’ve made a special entrance available beside the coach entry, via Merrigang Street. Avoid visitor queues and enjoy easy access by bringing proof of residency to gain entry at this location. A current NSW drivers’ licence with your Wingecarribee Shire address on it, a rates notice or utilities bill will suffice. “Our community members can of course visit as often as they like using the Merrigang Street residents’ entrance,” says Wingecarribee Shire Council’s Tourism and Events Coordinator Libby Bain.

Book now to see the Tulips After Dark

Over the October long weekend, from Friday 29 September to Sunday 1 October, the Tulips After Dark installation comes to life between 6pm and 9pm. You’ll need a pre-booked ticket for this evocative experience featuring live music and vibrant displays of beautifully illuminated tulips, with food and beverage available to purchase onsite.

Back by popular demand in 2023, tickets will be just $13 per adult and $10 per youth 12 years and under free. Book online now.

There’s still time to snap-up a stall

The large crowds drawn to our Tulip Time celebrations present an opportunity for community organisations and Not For Profit groups to raise funds for the good work they do to connect and support our local communities. Stalls are available at a minimal cost of just $100-$137+GST (for one week day date). More details here.

Sponsorship packages are an option for private celebrations after hours in the magical setting of 80,000 tulips in bloom. Enquire here.

Get involved as an Ambassador

For the many people arriving in great anticipation of a wonderful atmosphere during Tulip Time, nothing beats being greeted with a warm welcome and the helpful local knowledge of a friendly Ambassador. A love of our beautiful Southern Highlands is the only qualification required and you would be right in the heart of the fun. Find out more here.

See you there

Plan ahead for your experience of Tulip Time, from Tuesday 19 September to Monday 2 October, 2023, “And remember to take time to visit the villages that are expanding the footprint of Tulip Time this year by hosting a colour burst of planter boxes,” Libby says.

Together, we’re growing a great community event, proudly supported by Wingecarribee Shire Council to connect and revitalise our Shire.
