After sailing was cancelled the previous weekend for safety reasons, last weekend the weather proved to be excellent for the running of the annual ‘Up the Weir – Jack Ginnivan Trophy’ race in honour of Jack Ginnivan, who was one of the founding members of the Club.
As the lake is full, it was the first time in many years that the race was able to make it to the far end of the lake and back, with the last boat returning while the black clouds were gathering for yet another storm. An excellent day’s racing was enjoyed by all competitors.
