It’s Junee Show time again!

After a two-year hiatus, the Junee Show is set to go ahead again on Saturday, 22 October 2022. Gates will open at 9am at the Junee Showground on Park Lane, and the 132nd Junee Show is going to be the biggest and best show yet!

The Junee Show Society wishes to thank all the Sponsors of the 132nd Junee Show, including The Junee District Cooperative Society Limited which are the major sponsor of the Junee Show this year. Without the support of all these wonderful sponsors, the Junee Show would not be as great as it will be! The Junee Show Society is also incredibly grateful for all the many other businesses and volunteers who support the local show.

Amongst highlighting the best the Junee District has to offer, the Show also offers a top lineup of entertainment, attractions and competitions. There will be live music, including the Wagga & District Pipe Band, and the Happy Hour Duo. Animal attractions include the Old McDonald’s Farm Animal Nursery, ring events, poultry and sheep competitions, and a free Pet Show/Competition.

The show will be officially opened at around 2pm when the winners of the 2022 Young Woman Competition (formally the Junee Miss Showgirl) will be announced, as well as the winners of the 200 Club.

Of course, the usual show attractions and competitions will be available including the sideshow alley, show bags, mummy wrap and sand castle competitions, stud sheep, poultry and the always popular Bushman’s Relay. The main pavilion will see a great display of local talent in all sections whether it be cooking, arts and crafts, horticulture, wool, school work, photography, farm/garden produce and so much more. Check out the new Junee Show Society website (juneeshowsociety.com.au) for more information on What’s On, and for an overview of the show schedule. The official show schedules are now available from local businesses, so be sure to get your copy, and get your entries ready for Show Day. Entries close on Wednesday 19th October.

The Ladies Lifestyle Pavilion in the newly refurbished Belling Hall will showcase a variety of stalls, and the Junee Motor Club will once again provide a magnificent display of historical and classic cars.

As usual, the Junior Judging and Schools Competition, as well as the horse events in the show ring will commence at 9am. There will be a full horse event program with a range of events, including a Fun Ring, Australian Stock Horses, Champion Riders, etc.

There will be plenty of delicious food available from the main dining room as well as the BBQ, and food stalls. Free musical entertainment will be provided by the Wagga and District Highland Pipe Band throughout the afternoon. In the evening, the Happy Hour Duo will be performing.

If all of these events, attractions, and competitions are not entertaining enough, the Grand Finale Fireworks Display will conclude the 2022 Junee Show at 8pm, and is the biggest and brightest fireworks display we’ve ever had!
