Start getting excited for some adrenaline pumping fun, because the Rockhampton Agricultural Show has just announced its entertainment line-up!

Rockhampton Show Committee Member Councillor Ellen Smith is excited to announce the full 2022 Show Program is now available.

“Attendees can start planning their days at the Rocky Show by downloading the Rockhampton Events app or visiting rockyshow.com.au,” Councillor Smith said.

“Along with our entertainment line-up make sure you don’t miss viewing the outstanding competition entries in the pavilions.”

“The horse show jumping and competitions will again be a major drawcard in Centre Ring with late entries for horses being accepted on the day.”

The Capricornian CEO Dale Grounds is proud to partner with Rockhampton Regional Council to help bring back the much-loved Community Stage to this year’s program and to once again sponsor the Rocky Show Volunteer Program.

“The Capricornian team is proud to see the Community Stage back on the program with a wide range of family friendly shows and workshops over the three days,” Mr Grounds said.

Advance Rockhampton’s Executive Manager Mr Greg Bowden said audiences will be wowed by international horseman Guy McLean and his team of high-level performing horses in Centre Ring thanks to sponsor Frenchville Sports Club.

“For our younger visitors – and those who are young at heart – we have a whole pavilion dedicated to your favourite farm animals,” Mr Bowden said.

“The Mr Real Estate Farmyard will again be a big drawcard for all ages with its move to the Robert Schwarten Indoor Pavilion.”

“There’s so much happening at the Show this year – from reptile encounters, kids cooking classes, circus workshops and a great Centre Ring line-up – and all of this is on top of everyone’s favourite rides, sideshows, showbags, and competitions.

“With $10 adult entry and $5 for kids and concession holders this year’s Rocky Show promises to be an incredible, action-packed extravaganza for the whole family!”

Rockhampton Show is on Wednesday 8 June – Friday 10 June with the People’s Day Public Holiday on Thursday 9 June. The Show gates are open 9am – 10.30pm daily.

Come and meet ‘Rocko’ the Suri alpaca and ‘Patch’ the llama this year at Melville’s family petting zoo. All your favourite cute and cuddly animals such as chicks, ducklings, piglets, kid goats, and lambs will there to meet in the Robert Schwarten Indoor Pavilion. Melville’s Entertainment are famous for being industry leaders in animal experiences for over 25 years and are a popular must see visit.

Witness must see artists of outrageously funny proportions combining their talents into one incredible show for your pleasure! Acts of Absurdity is a thrilling fusion of the most unique, ridiculous and bizarre acts you’ll ever see.

Find out why Guy McLean is a living legend when it comes to horse training. Meet Guy as he showcases his team of high-level performing horses in the Centre Ring every day at 5pm and 7.30pm.

FMX Kaos

FMX Kaos perform one of the most extreme shows seen worldwide and will leave you in disbelief with what you have just witnessed. Don’t miss any of the chaos with the Kaos crew ripping up the lime light and suspending time as they defy gravity in Centre Ring.

Children’s Programming – Proudly sponsored by The Capricornian on the Community Stage

The kids will enjoy a wide range of workshops and shows in the Exhibition Pavilion and on The Capricornian Community Stage including: Bubble Muffin Cooking Classes, Maggie Moo Music Shows, Circus Workshops, Moovin Balloonin and Ukelele Workshops.

The 2022 Rockhampton Agricultural Show is a joint initiative of Rockhampton Regional Council and the Queensland Government.
