Yass Show Society, Inc.

The President of the Yass Show Society Anne Hazell said that the Yass Show, held on Saturday 19 March 2022 as a one day traditional agricultural show with the theme of showcasing the local region, was a great success.

There were a very good number of entries in all the competitions and a very large and happy crowd came through the gates. The weather put on a nice warm and sunny day without it being too hot.

Popular activities for younger attendees included the Children’s Arena, the Questacon interactive displays, the Scavenger Hunt, Magician shows and the Patting Paddock, while other patrons enjoying the showjumping and horse events, the Yard Dog Trials, the Woodchop, Championship Dog Show, the Sheep and Cattle and the exhibits in the pavilions.

Pavilion entries across most sections were up on the previous year with many new exhibitors competing for the first time, which is very encouraging.

Congratulations go to all winners in the various sections, and also to the winners of the Business Display Competition, Nutrien Ag Solutions, Comur House and Full Circle Serenity for their displays showcasing the local area and what the show means to them.

Congratulations to Phillip Frost on his receipt of a Royal Agricultural Society of NSW’ Agricultural Shows Award, for his dedication to the Yass Show for many years.
