The Leitchville Bunyip Sporting Club Inc (LBSC) has been active over the weekend with its annual cod opening weekend and the North Central Catchment Management Authority’s ‘Catch a Carp’ day.

With cod closing and opening weekends being cancelled or held in limited capacity over the past two years due to COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions, the 2021 cod opening weekend was much anticipated.

This year’s cod opening was held near the Gunbower boat ramp and was a great weekend for members, family and friends.

On Sunday, December 5, the LBSC cooked the barbecue for those participating in the NCCMA’s ‘Catch a Carp’ day in Garden Park, Cohuna.

The Leitchville Bunyips meet at 7.30pm every second Monday of each month at Thompsons Weir Rd. If anyone is interested in joining, please call the club’s secretary, Ray Heap, on 0428 505 093.
