As the Spring temperatures rise and plants bud and grow it’s time to come up to Uraidla to visit a traditional agricultural show in the Adelaide Hills.

The Basket Range Sandstone Uraidla & Summertown Country Show has been a long time coming but the wait will be worth it.

The 132nd Uraidla and Summertown Horticultural and Floricultural show is back after an online show last year and the gates open at 9am on Sunday 7th November.

James Sadler, President of the Show, is confident the attractions, both innovative and traditional, will keep both old and new visitors happy,

“I think the great strength of the Uraidla show, aside from the wealth of people who volunteer their time to make it happen, is the blend of the new and the old.

“There’s loads on offer this year from the traditional competitions of chickens, home brewing, flowers and Yard dogs to the more innovative and new attractions on display including “Rev it up” a fun and engaging motorsport activity for all the family.

“The organisation of the show has not been without its challenges. We’ve had to find more volunteers to meet the new conditions of a Covid management plan.

“But the crucial thing is we fully expect it to be a fun family day out and which will be a bargain with a reasonable cost of $10 entry fee and all children under 12 having free admission.”

Please note:

We ask all visitors to the BRS Uraidla Show to please stay at home if feeling unwell.

Free bus shuttles will be running from our carparks. Buses will be sanitised after each trip.

We ask all participants to follow signage and directions of show marshals, volunteers and security staff.
