Bob Wine. Gold City Bowls Inc. was incorporated as an amalgamated bowls club in June 2018, which combined three bowling associations in Charters Towers. At that time, we owned two properties and had two ageing bowls greens requiring urgent replacement.
Members vote ‘YES’ for unification of Bowls NSW and Women’s Bowls NSW
The members of New South Wales Women's Bowling Association Incorporated and Royal New South Wales Bowling Association Limited have voted to merge their two associations into one new entry, which will be known as Bowls New South Wales Limited.
Mid-Western NSW (Zone 4) Claim Junior Supremacy
Mid-Western NSW (Zone 4) has taken the spoils in the 2021 NSW Junior Inter-Zone 7-A-Side Championship at Club Dubbo. The local Zone took out the overall Championship ahead of Greater Western Sydney (Zone 5) and Central Coast (Zone 15).
Mt. Isa Sports Expo
Sports Expos are organised by local councils and at Mt. Isa we had over 1,000 people attending the excellent indoor facility with 66 sports, hobby and community groups displaying what they had on offer.
March Madness for Southern Yorke Peninsula bowlers
A recent 10 day stretch on the Southern Yorke Peninsula has been compared to the Mad March of Adelaide, with the amount of bowls being played. Bowls competitions were played across the region on almost every day from Thursday, March 4, to Monday, March 15.

Yamba’s annual Classic Pairs
Yamba's annual Classic Pairs, a two-day carnival formatted on 5 games of 14 ends with no dead ends conducted 10-11 October, once again proved to be as popular as ever. Forty four high quality teams from Kingscliff in the North to Scone in the South contested this rich event.
