Spring has Sprung! Fairy Wren Day has been a Spring event for the past 5 years. Those interested in small bird habitat and garden lovers are invited to Boatharbour on a Sunday 8 September for Fairy Wren Day. With the numbers of attendees building each year, it was decided to share more gardens in our area.

Katie Stanley, Executive Officer of Agricultural Shows Australia, says the competition is designed to recognise the best new talent in livestock judging nationwide.

2024 marks the 160th Molong Show. The Molong Show has been held on a Sunday for a considerable number of years, however this year will be held on a Saturday, Saturday the 7th of September.

The Coonawarra Cabernet Celebrations’ program launched today at the National Wine Centre. From 1-20 October, festivalgoers will enjoy a range of degustation dinners, masterclasses, tastings, winery tours, and more. Festival highlights include the Coonawarra Golf Day, Pizza and Tunes at Raidis Estate, the International Cabernet Masterclass, as well as the longstanding Combined Wineries Cabernet Decade[nce] Tasting hosted by the Coonawarra Vignerons Association.

The Cudal Show will be held Sunday 8th September at the Cudal Showground, 125 Davys Plains Road. Our gates will open at 9:00 and the show will run to 3:00. We have several exciting events on hand this year.

The Snowy Mountain Tango Festival took place, for the third consecutive year, on the weekend in Corryong. Steadily growing, it attracted more than 100 participants with dancers and performers coming from Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, as well as from Gippsland and the local region, including Albury/Wodonga, Batlow, Corryong.

The biannual cluBarham Rock by the River Rock ‘n’ Roll Festival attracted 250 attendees from local and interstate to enjoy four days of live music and dancing ... The four days of entertainment were complemented by dancing lessons and the opportunity to buy the perfect attire or pair of swanky shoes to complement one’s moves on the dance floor.

Camellia lovers will gather in Narrandera later this month to celebrate the Narrandera Garden Club’s 50th annual Camellia show in conjunction with the Camellia Australia National Show. The very first Narrandera show began in 1974 and besides the two years when Covid was at its peak, the show has been held every year and has seen great growth since its inception.

Working on the land, Moulamein farmer Nick McKindlay found farming gave him a great opportunity to explore his passion for birds. "As a farmer, I spend most of the workday outdoors, and my passion for birds has naturally woven itself into my daily activities," said Nick.

One of Australia’s longest running and most prestigious music festivals, the iconic Byron Bay Bluesfest will have its final curtain call at the 2025 festival.
