By 10a.m., all trade sites, food vendors, and amusements in Sideshow Alley were fully prepared, while the shearing and equestrian events were already underway.

This November 2-3, the charming town of Natimuk will transform into a hub of creativity with a series of exciting art events presented by local arts organisation ACT Natimuk. The Natimuk Open Studios Art Trail invites the public to explore local artists’ studios, engage with their work, and discover the diverse visual arts scene that Natimuk has to offer.

It’s show time!
The Nhill Show is on tomorrow ... with action starting at 8:30 am and wrapping up at 9:00 pm with the magnificent fireworks display. From shearing competitions to the animal nursery and home industries, there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained throughout the day.
Prepare your property ahead of increased fire risk
CFA is urging residents to prepare their properties ahead of the fire danger period, with parts of Victoria facing an early start to fire season. The AFAC seasonal outlook for Spring, released last month, predicts an increased fire risk in west and southwest Victoria, following a notably dry Autumn and Winter.

Nhill’s first flyer – and then some
John Williams. In the pioneering years of aviation, Nhill’s first man in the air, Ivan Sinclair Young helped put the town at the forefront of flight along with Fred Mckenzie of the Nhill Free Press. (Sinclair was his mother’s maiden name) Yes, he was a "Magnificent Man in a Flying Machine." However, he was not a glamorous pilot or ace. He was still brave, though.
Top price record falls at Janmac
Jamie-Lee Oldfield. Renewed positivity in the lamb industry and continued support of good genetics was evident at the Janmac annual on-property ram sale on Wednesday. The Hausler family achieved a stud record high price for a Poll Dorset, as well as a very solid clearance across both breeds.
Nhill and Kaniva paramedics and ACOs honoured at awards
Local paramedics and ACOs from the Nhill and Kaniva branches were recently recognised for their dedication and service at the Grampians Staff Service Awards ... The awards celebrated the outstanding contributions of paramedics, acknowledging their long service and commitment to safe driving.
