The news tonight, Monday, March 9 was filled with words we didn’t want to hear about the price of fuel.

Oil prices skyrocket… Prices scoring… Pain at the petrol pump… Markets in a tailspin

Any driver will see this scenario is starting to play out at country petrol bowsers close to home.

The owners are doing this they said, so everyone in the community can access fuel.

Woodenbong Driveway gave a fuel supply update.

“Due to the current fuel supply situation, our after-hours fuel machine has been turned off and will remain unavailable for the time being so we can conserve the fuel we currently have.

“In many areas fuel supplies have already been depleted due to unnecessary bulk purchasing, and we want to avoid this happening here.

As a small local service station, we supply fuel to local businesses, emergency services, and essential operators, so it is important we manage the fuel we have carefully to ensure supply lasts as long as possible until the situation settles.

For the time being:

  • No drum filling will be permitted
  • Fuel will be limited to vehicle use only during business hours
