Bush Christmas, Media Release, 19 November 2025
Organisers of this year’s Bush Christmas Exhibition are encouraging regional shoppers to bypass fast retail and imported products this festive season and give the gift of Australian made.
Over 100 regional artists, gourmet producers and hand crafters from Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia will showcase their talents at this year’s Bush Christmas Exhibition in Toowoomba, Queensland.
Held between November 19 and November 28, the annual exhibition offers a unique platform for regional artists, providores and creatives to showcase their talents and retail their handmade pieces.
Bush Christmas Exhibition Event Director Wendy Allen advised that in light of the current retail economy, the event was now more important than ever.
Advised Wendy, “Bush Christmas has been going now for 29 years. It was founded at the time to bridge the divide between regional makers and city shoppers but over time, it has evolved to be a celebration of all things Australian made .
“In a world where fast fashion, cheap imports and international conglomerates dominate, people are now more than ever invested in Australian made products and supporting small businesses and makers.
“Shoppers to our exhibition love the fact that products have been thoughtfully designed and made by a small business owner, are high quality and not mass produced.”
Added Wendy, “A gift from Bush Christmas has double meaning – you will be gifting a beautiful quality product to a loved one but you will also be investing in and supporting an Australian small business, keeping your money in the regional economy.”
A wide range of handcrafted items will be available for purchase at this year’s Bush Exhibition including artworks, garden art, gourmet food, jewellery, accessories, homewares, books, toys and more.
In keeping with the event’s name, Christmas cakes, puddings and festive treats will also be available for purchase.
The 2025 Bush Christmas Exhibition will be held between Wednesday November 19 and Friday November 28 at the Masonic Centre, 58 Neil St, Toowoomba.
The event will be open from 9am to 6pm daily. Admission is free.
