The property ‘Floristan’, totalling 490 acres (198 hectares) at Hodgson Vale, recently sold at auction for $6.6 million.
Situated on the corner of Luck Road and the New England Highway, the historic property includes a homestead built circa 1900, as well as a manager’s residence.
Floristan comes with a 72ML irrigation licence main range volcanic, cultivation divided into approximately 17 paddocks, and cattle yards.
The property also includes a barn, truck shed, machinery shed and an old dairy.
The property was sold at auction by Ray White Rural Toowoomba’s Myles Cosgrove and Matt Cleary, passing hands from fourth generation owners Bill and Tanya Luck to Wandoan’s Barry and Helen Rich.
The auction, held at the Burke & Wills Hotel in September, had seven registered bidders.
The northern edge of the property borders Hodgson Vale’s rural residential houses.
Another parcel of land, 91 acres (37 hectares) off Freyling Road known as ‘Floristan Rise’ is currently for sale by Ray White Rural Toowoomba.
