The 19th NHMA National Machinery Rally, Australia’s largest display of working heritage equipment, and the Steaming Under the Southern Cross event took place at Kingsthorpe last week.
Steaming Under the Southern Cross has been assembled from local heritage groups Steaming on the Downs, TADOMS (Toowoomba and District Old Machinery Society) and the Queensland Vintage Machinery Association.
The event took place all of last week from Saturday, 23 August to Sunday, 31 August and featured over 500 exhibitors.

Earthmoving and blacksmithing demonstrations took place alongside hundreds of machines on display.
There was also stump pulling, grand parades and tractor games for the kids, with trinkets and mementos to take home.
