In February of this year, Ben Krause from Donald participated in the Wimmera group final of the Junior Show Ambassador Award.
Representing both the Donald Show and his community, Ben showcased his pride and enthusiasm, embodying the spirit of a young man deeply connected to his community.

Dusty Rain McIntyre
The winner of the Junior Competition at the group level was Dusty Rain McIntyre, who represented the St Arnaud Agricultural Society. Dusty will go on to represent Wimmera at the state finals this weekend, during the Victorian Agricultural Shows State Convention in Bendigo.
Additionally, the Donald Show has been recognized as a top 10 finalist for the Most Popular Show, receiving a nice share of an impressive 1,865 votes. Other finalists include shows from Bendigo, Berwick, Boort, Clunes, Corryong, Foster, Kyneton, Noorat, and Whittlesea. The winner will be revealed at this year’s state convention in Bendigo on Saturday evening.
Nicole Nunn
Nicole Nunn, president of the Donald Show, is also a finalist for the Outstanding Individual Contribution to a Show Society in the 40 Years and Over category. With 20 years of service to the Donald Show, Nicole has held every executive position, including treasurer from 2005 to 2007, secretary from 2008 to 2015, and president since 2019. Known as a quiet achiever with innovative ideas, Nicole is approachable and well-respected among her peers.
Nicole played a pivotal role in organising the 2015 VAS Convention in Donald, demonstrating that a small town could successfully host such an event. She is also the current president of the Wimmera Group, with a passion for shows that stems from her grandparents, the late Alan and Marie Hendy. Her dedication has been recognized with a Life Membership to the Donald Show in 2022 and the title of Donald Citizen of the Year in 2023.
The announcement of the Outstanding Individual Contribution award will take place on Saturday evening at the Victorian Agricultural Shows State Convention gala dinner.
